Hey fellow food enthusiasts!
I’m here with an age-old classic recipe that never goes out of style – Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies! As the chilly season is well underway, there’s nothing quite comforting as a warm, freshly baked cookie paired with a cup of hot chocolate or your favourite tea. So let’s tread into a mouth-watering journey, and trust me you will fall in love with this simple yet delicious recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup white (granulated) sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons hot water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups (1 pack) chocolate chips
Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 350F or 175C.
-
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar and brown sugar until the mixture is smooth.
-
Beat in the eggs one by one into the mixture, then stir in the vanilla extract to combine everything beautifully.
-
Dissolve the baking soda in hot water and then add it to the batter. Add salt.
-
Gradually stir in the flour into the mixture. Mix it well until the dough is formed.
-
Finally, fold in the chocolate chips into the dough using a spatula ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
-
Take a rounded teaspoonful of the dough and place onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure to space them at least 2 inches apart.
-
Bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are just starting to brown.
-
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Voila! You have your heavenly Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies. They’re incredibly soft and chewy, full of chocolate, with a subtle hint of vanilla. They are perfect for a quick snack, a sweet treat, or a nice gift for your friends and loved ones.
Happy Baking!
