2 tablespoons rum or brandy (optional)

24 ladyfingers savoiardi

1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions:

First, in a medium saucepan, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until well blended. Add in the milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Allow to boil for one minute, then remove from the heat and cool slightly.
